Recorded in a makeshift studio in a disused bakery in Emerald, ‘Doesn’t Mean You’re Lonely’ is Lily’s debut release produced by James Seymour. Lily’s delicate yet raspy vocals create a sweetness that cuts through the washed-out guitars that develop into one hell of an anthemic chorus. Lily reflects on the song:
“I wrote it to break the stigma of mental health in a positive light. It’s about a suicide that happened in my home town Emerald and how the death impacted the community”
